Maintaining a drive for excellence in battle, as well as animal husbandry and farming, Alrenwyck is frequently visited by all who want to feed and defend the realm, and dare to become champions, hoping to become a soldier and warrior of renown.

The streets of Alrenwyck bolster with stories of scars from war and tales of battles reminisced in taverns. Eagerly waiting the arrival of the next Tournament of Blaidds in the Hall of Vargul. May Alrenwyck’s taverns always have cold ale, its homes fresh bread, its walls constant watch, and soldiers sturdy feet to stand. As the future is pursued: not with gold, but iron.

Alrenwyck Castle

Not with gold, but iron. The creed which is held by all who enter Alrenwyk Castle gates and emerge a soldier. This creed came to be in the time of Oden Dal Riata, eldest son of Garrith Xalleon Vyrvrith Dal Riata, claimed the location. With the assistance of the Houses of Reinhardt, Taryn, Helaics, and Rykr, these were the Shieldwall that protected the realm of Arenthia from the invasion of Count Hammond II in the War of Many Houses. With victory, Hammond retreated into the perilous wildlands. The accursed forest, with rotting trees, and black rock protruding as sores from the ground covered in moss. Even beast feared the wildlands, forever fighting for survival within, in the amusement to the ever watching Gods.

The castletown will be focused on being a center for training soldiers, housing mercenary guilds and adventurers eager to traverse the unknown lands of Werïstarc. With barracks of war, those eager to learn and perfect their crafts, and share their war stories will find a home. The Hall of Vargul will house the the Tournament of Blaidds. Where all who can muster a blade may test their skill in battle, with crowds praising the victor.

Soldiers, warriors and mercenaries are only as capable as those at home helping them march forward. With this, there is as much honor wielding a plow, as wielding a sword. Alrenwyck’s citizens are familiar with the wildlands, cultivating and raising livestock and warmounts in order to thrive amongst the frontlines. If battles are Alrenwyck’s passion, then animal husbandry and farming is our foundation.

Public Works and Initiatives

Alrenwyck will be defined by its desire to become one of the finest settlement for training soldiers. In this desire, construction of landmarks and policies to intrigue and benefit all citizens have emerged.

Hall of Vagrul, constructed in memoriam to Chieftess Rynol’a Vagrul who sought a path for warriors to test their strength and wit against the finest mercenaries, warriors and soldiers the world had to offer. To be able to claim prestige and competition through the battles of the great hall. Warriors and war maidens attempt to tear fame, glory and riches from the clenched grasp of their opponents. Champions rise and fall inside the Hall of Vagrul.

Warmounts of Alrenwyck, was a tradition passed down for centuries by House Taryn. It was said that a Taryn soldier was born to be on the saddle. With House Taryn’s fall during the War of Many Houses, Alrenwyck Castle strives to keep their legacy alive with training stables for warmounts. Allowing our soldiers to have solid footing in battle, and while riding atop warmounts.

Farmland Grant Incentives, Alrenwyck will be offering grants or land to encourage and help aspiring farmers, breeders and fishers. Well-developed ideas will be supported to aid in the development of agriculture, animal husbandry and breeding, and aquaculture, or any other possible cultivation ideas. The hope is to encourage the growth of ideas and establish a diverse economy.
